Havana, July 11 (RHC)-- René Martínez, a technician who for many years was in charge of the Technical Department of Radio Havana Cuba -- where he carried out a meritorious job until his retirement several years ago -- passed away in Havana on Friday.

In the course of his working life, he received different recognitions and honors, such as the Victoria de Playa Girón Commemorative Medal and the la Lucha contra Bandidos, and others in the field of culture from the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television, ICRT.

With his death, Radio Havana Cuba loses one of its most prestigious members.  He will always be remembered.  Our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
