Laritza Bacallao
Havana, April 17 (RHC)-- Cuban singer Laritza Bacallao is celebrating 25 years of artistic life and announced that she is working hard on new proposals to delight her followers.
Writing on social media, she thanked Cuba’s Record and Musical Editions Company EGREM for, in her own words, ‘trusting her’ and stated: ‘new surprises are coming. This is just the beginning.’
Laritza Bacallao is preparing the release of her second album with the title ‘Que hablen’. Her first album ‘Solo se vive una vez’, was released seven years ago. That first album catapulted her to international fame with Planet Records label.
In 2015, the Cuban artist was nominated to Premios Juventud, presented by the television network Univision, in the category of Best New Artist.
Laritza Bacallao has toured extensively in the United States and around the world, delighting big audiences in Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean with her art.
More recently, Laritza joined other Cuban musicians and recorded the tune “Cubanidad”, written by singer-songwriter Raúl Torres with musical arrangements by Michel Herrera. Other participating artists include Tania Pantoja, Raúl Torres himself, Robertón, singer of Los Van Van, and Ronald, singer of Explosión rumbera.
On March 20th last, Laritza Bacallao gave a concert online entitled ‘Por la Salud y la Vida’ (For Health and Life’, which has garnered more than 10 thousand views and likes on YouTube.
