Al son del caballero

Havana, May 11 (RHC)-- The album ‘Alianza Musical de Cuba: Al Son del Caballero’, featuring renowned exponents of Cuban popular dance music is available on digital platforms.

Cuban musician Lázaro Valdés, leader of Bamboleo, told the press that this musical Alliance seeks to revisit and promote iconic tunes from the vast repertoire of maestro Adalberto Álvarez. Another aim, he said, is to strengthen collaboration among Cuban son musicians.

Meanwhile, Manolito Simonet, one of the promoters of this new album in homage to Adalberto, said that all the musicians involved in this musical project were pleased and honored to work together under the direction of the leader of Adalberto Alvarez y su son. Among the participating musicians, he mentioned Los Van Van, Revé, NG La Banda, Trabuco, Rumbatá, César Pupy Pedroso, Maykel Blanco, Alexander Abreu and Alain Pérez.

Under Bis Music label, the new album ‘Alianza Musical de Cuba: Al Son del Caballero’ was released in the framework of activities on May 8th --Cuban Son Day, celebrated for the 1st time this year.
