Havana, July 7 (RHC)-- Cuba’s acclaimed Summer Cultural Project Rutas y Andares began on July 5th, with a broad program online due to the complex epidemiological situation in Havana, generated by Covid-19.
With the slogan ‘Andar La Habana tras la ruta de Eusebio Leal’ this year’s 21st edition pays tribute to the renowned Cuban intellectual, who died in July, 2020.
Organized by the Cultural Heritage Division attached to the Havana Historian’s Office, the program runs through August 29, and includes the launching of books and other publications dealing with the life and work of Eusebio, workshops on the most diverse artistic disciplines, musical recitals and virtual visits to museums and other sites of cultural and historical interest in the capital.
Activities are being streamed on a total of 38 social network channels of museums, cultural centers, libraries and other socio-cultural projects.
Organizers said they expect to include some in-person activities in August if the epidemiological situation improves.
