‘Paisajes de la Memoria’ inaugurated in Santiago de Cuba

Santiago de Cuba, Oct. 4 (RHC)-- A new exhibition was inaugurated over the weekend at René Valdés Gallery in Santiago de Cuba, entitled ‘Paisajes de la Memoria’.

It comprises some 25 works, drawings, paintings and sculptures by National Fine Arts laureates Nelson Domínguez, Alberto Lescay, Manuel Mendive and Eduardo Roca (Choco) and by other notable artists like René Valdés, Julia Valdés, Antonia Eiriz, Fayad Jamis, Guarionex Ferrer, Melvin Edwards, Miguel A. Botalín, José Loreto Horruitiner, Lincoln Camué, José J. Aguilera, Pedro Arrate and Lawrence Zúñiga.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Caguayo Foundation. Founded 26 years ago, the Foundation is led by sculptor Alberto Lescay, the author of the sculpture complex at the Antonio Maceo Revolution Square in Santiago de Cuba, the Monument to the runaway slave in El Cobre, and other monumental pieces in countries around the world.
