Havana, October 23 (RHC)-- Worldwide Music Expo – WOMEX – is the most international and culturally diverse music meeting in the world and the biggest conference of the global music scene, featuring a trade fair, talks, films and showcase concerts.

Held since 1994, each time in a different European city, this year’s 21st edition began October 27th and runs through the 31st in Oporto, Portugal.

Cuba’s record and musical editions Company EGREM represents Cuba at the event. The label is participating with a group of artists from its vast catalog –all of them highly-acclaimed, popular musicians, representatives of different rhythms and styles, ranging from traditional music to what is known now as World Music.

The line-up includes tres guitar player Yarima Blanco, singer-songwriters Erick Iglesias –better known as Cimafunk- and Eme Alfonso, among many others.

The program of the 21st WOMEX – Worldwide Music Expo –includes showcases, concerts, conferences and a curated selection of documentaries that portray music, movements and histories from across the world.
