Gretel Gazón
Havana, October 23 (RHC)-- Cuban singer and actress Gretel Cazón has released her debut album, entitled “Rumba Azul” a co-production of Unicornio label and the National Center for Popular Music.
With liner notes by renowned intellectual Miguel Barnet, the musical production features Gretel singing new versions of works by renowned Cuban composers like Ernesto Lecuona, Rodrigo Prats, Eduardo Sánchez de Fuentes, Marta Valdés and Amaury Pérez.
Produced by Gastón Joya, who also serves as arranger and bassist, the album includes collaborations by other musicians like pianist Rolandito Luna, percussionist Yaroldi Abreu, drummer Oliver Valdés, trumpet player Julito Padrón, guitarist Rainier Monserrat and singer Jorge Pablo Diez Córdova.
