Cuban singer-songwriter David Blanco celebrates 20 years with his band

Havana, Feb. 14 (RHC)-- Popular Cuban musician David Blanco has just presented his latest album ‘Feudalismo Moderno’, with which he celebrates 20 years with his band.

Released under Bis Music label, it is available on musical platforms, including the Cuban music platform Sandunga.

The renowned musician has said that the new album was almost ready when Covid-19 struck, but he took advantage of the long period of isolation at home to rethink and change many things.

Feudalismo Modern is mostly rock music, tributes to iconic bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, but with a strong contemporary Cuban flavor and sound. It mixes several genres, metal, gospel, soul, rap, funk and other sonorities from the perspective of pop-rock.

Prior to the album’s release, some tracks, including the title track and its accompanying music video were released gradually on music platforms.

The title track deals with the impact of new technologies on people’s lives.

The album features collaborations by several other renown musicians Kelvis Ochoa, Jorge Robaina, Kamankola, Jotabarrioz, Gabriela Pérez and Vocal Renacer.

In March 2020, David Blanco streamed the first concert online from home in Cuba, starting a tradition that continues today, two years later. Several other Cuban musicians have followed his lead, giving concerts online for their followers on the island and abroad to enjoy from home in times of Covid-19.
