Duo Iris presents debut album
Havana, Feb. 16 (RHC)—The official release of the debut album by young Cuban talents Dayamí Pérez and Javier López, members of popular Cuban Duo Iris was the main activity by Cuba’s record and musical editions company EGREM, celebrating the International Day of Love and Friendship.
Entitled ‘Mi suerte’, the musical production produced by Yoel Martínez, guitarist and singer of also popular duo Buena Fe, includes collaborations by a large group of other renowned Cuban musicians, notably Miguel Núñez, Rolando Luna, Jorgito Aragón, Yander Martínez, David Torrens, William Rivero, Camila Daniela, Ernesto Cisneros.
Duo Iris thanked all those who contributed to this Project. Prior to the official presentation of the physical album, the tracks from ‘Mi suerte’ were already available on digital platforms, including on the Cuban music platform Sandunga.
Duo Iris won wide acclaim following their participation in the prestigious Adolfo Guzmán music contest in Cuba in 2019, where they won second prize for their tune ‘Haciendo Fe’, as tribute to Cuban National Hero José Martí.
