Las Vegas, November 18 (RHC)-- Albums by Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés and Afro-Cuban rock group Síntesis received Latin Grammy 2022 awards in their categories. The ceremony was held at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas.
Chucho Valdés, long ranked among the best in the world, winner in previous editions of the Latin Grammys and Grammys, was awarded along with Eliane Elias and Chick Corea in the category of best Latin jazz/jazz album for Mirror Mirror.
Síntesis, one of the most recognized and innovative Cuban groups, with a sustained trajectory over the past several decades, triumphed in the category of Best Folk Album for Ancestros sinfónico, released on May 27 this year.
Carlos Alfonso and Ele Valdés were joined by their children, Eme and X Alfonso, to receive the award.
Ancestros sinfónico is the second album produced by the FAC Music label.
