Havana, November 29 (Web Network)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated on Tuesday Cuban singer/songwriter Silvio Rodríguez on his 76th birthday.
In his Twitter account, the dignitary had phrases of praise for the artist, one of the founders of the Cuban Nueva Trova, which denote the admiration he has for him.
On that social network, Culture Minister Alpidio Alonso also congratulated Rodriguez while highlighting the impact of his compositions in the country's history, which "are already part of our lives".
Likewise, several institutions and personalities conveyed their best wishes to the author of Ojalá and El Necio.
Thus, the Cuban Institute of Music and the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (Uneac), joined the tribute to the 2004 National Music Prize, whose work places him as one of the creators of greatest international transcendence.
