World Forum on Cultural Heritage defines Cuba and the Caribbean route

Havana, May 5 (PL)-- A meeting on Cuba's heritage assets associated with youth makes up one of the main programs scheduled for this day of the International Congress on Cultural Heritage that ends today with its panel sessions and master classes.

The day starts with the Master Lecture entitled "Cuba's Cultural Heritage", by Dr. Alicia Garcia Santana, National Conservation Award winner and member of the island's National Monuments Commission.

Another special moment of the event was reserved for the panel "Youth and Cultural Heritage in the Caribbean". Transcultura Program, a space for speakers from the UN Office for Education, Science and Culture in Cuba, the European Union and entrepreneurs from the West Indies, the University of the West Indies and Antigua and Barbuda.

These panelists will speak about heritage education and its conservation among young people.

The morning will also feature the conference "Cuban School for the Management of the Integral Development of the Heritage City", by speakers from Havana's Historic Center.

"Isla Patrimonial", "Freedom Park as a Place of Remembrance and Memory" and "Los Antimonumentos en México", will accompany the afternoon session, among other debates.

The closing ceremony is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. local time, during which a report on the Ernest Hemingway International Colloquium and on the International Congress on Cultural Heritage will be presented, and the call for future events will be launched, ending with an artistic performance.
