Havana, May 21 (RHC)-- The Argentinean documentary La Guardería, by filmmaker Virginia Croatto, will be presented on Tuesday, May 23rd, at the headquarters of the Cinemateca de Cuba, in this capital, reports Cubarte portal.

The open-air screening, in the courtyard of the large house on 11th Street, in the Vedado neighborhood, will be part of the celebrations in the Caribbean island for Argentina's National Day.

The play tells the story of a Havana house that was once home to a group of 30 children between the ages of six and 10, children of militants of the Argentine organization Montoneros.

These children spent an important part of their childhood away from their parents, who left them there to protect them while they fought against the dictatorship that ruled their country.

Today men and women, in the documentary they testify their experiences in Cuba, recreate the fantasies and memories of their stay between 1979 and 1983 in that house they called La Guardería.

According to the note, the presentation will be attended by Adela Segarra, former member of Montoneros and former member of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies, as well as two of her children who, as children, lived in La Guardería.

The Cinemateca de Cuba's main purpose is to guarantee the indefinite protection of the national cinematographic heritage and to contribute to the cinematographic cultural development of the public of the Antillean nation. (Source: Prensa Latina)
