Havana, May 22 (RHC) -- The Mariana de Gonitch Singing Academy and its professional company Las Voces will soon hold patriotic reaffirmation presentations in Guantanamo in tribute to the Buena Fe duo, which is a native of that territory.
Lyric singer Hugo Oslé, director of the group that bears the name of the Diva of St. Petersburg, told the Cuban News Agency that this is an invitation from the Union of Artists and Writers of Cuba (UNEAC) in the eastern province, with performances also in Caimanera.
Honoring a brave Guantánamo and my native Caimanera is a duty that imposes eternal gratitude, said Maestro Oslé, in addition to highlighting the high honor granted to him in reaffirming the support and admiration for Buena Fe, a duo that the enemies of the Cuban Revolution have tried to sabotage their presentation in Spain.
He specified that the young people of the Mariana de Gonitch Singing Academy will perform works such as Valientes, Crecerá, La Victoria, Yo me quedo, Somos el mundo (in its original English version), Canto de alabanza, Oda la alegría and the world famous Guantanamera.
Recently, through a communiqué, UNEAC rejected the harassment to which Buena Fe and the businessmen and promoters involved in their tour in the European country were being subjected.
"This is an attack against civility, a clear contempt for culture and for those of us who defend the right to do our work from this blocked and slandered island," the institution said.
