Buenos Aires, June 3 (RHC)-- The International Federation of Writers for Freedom expressed Friday its energetic repudiation of the attacks against Cuban artists and intellectuals who defend their country and government.

Recently, the duo Buena Fe faced aggressions from individuals who tried to prevent their concerts in Spain and right-wing extremists boycotted the participation of writer Nancy Morejón as honorary president at the Poetry Market in Paris, France.

These fascist attacks are not an isolated event, but a reflection of the radicalization of extreme right-wing groups in the service of decadent and moribund imperialism in its war for survival, the International Federation of Writers for Freedom said in a statement.

Not only do we repudiate these actions, but we place ourselves at the disposal of the struggle for the self-determination of the peoples, it adds. It also expresses its willingness to confront all types of external interference and "fight imperialism, destroyer of all that is human".
