The wide-ranging scheme will go through the culture of tea, traditional pottery, as well as the daily life of Havana's inhabitants of past centuries, journeys that will mark the diverse and different itineraries through galleries, and whose main objective this year is to proclaim sustainability and wellbeing, a guide to the impact of this event on communities.

OHCH's Communication Director, Magda Resik, highlighted at the press conference to launch the 2023 program of Rutas y Andares that this family space represents a beacon of citizens' relationship with the heritage values to love Havana that its historian Eusebio Leal Spengler taught us to revere.

Meanwhile, the director of Cultural Management of the OHCH, Katia Cardenas, said about the extensive portfolio, which incorporates on this occasion the tours of the Castillo del Príncipe, one of the heritage sites to be restored in the city.

Rutas y Andares is a public program aimed at the Cuban family that is 23 years old; "it is like a participatory communication strategy because it is nourished by the opinion of each of the generations," said the specialist when explaining how to sustain a project of this nature over time.

Other routes are the Special Routes, which include the Special Route of the Quinta de los Molinos, The Art of Preserving Heritage, Art in Sport and Sport in Art, as well as The Silence and Hope, a route dedicated to the centenary of the painter Servando Cabrera.

As for Los Andares, Andar con los andantes will be implemented, designed on the basis of requests from participants in previous editions.

Andar la arquitectura, Andares por la huella europea en el Centro Histórico or Andar Sistema defensivo de La Habana colonial III, are other routes to follow this summer.

For children, the OHCH foresees a special route in La Maestranza Park, with children's theater presentations, playful-sports spaces, clown shows, an attractive route is included here, such as the one called "Dwarfs on bikes", of the Cycle Mobility School for children, of the VeloCuba project.
