Talent and a good part of life dedicated to drama and theater were virtues taken into account to award Cuban theater directors, actors, researchers and critics participating at the 15th National Theater Festival of Camagüey underway until October 11th.
At the ceremony held at the eastern city’s Santa Cecilia Conference Center, Cuban Culture Minister, Julián González, presented twenty Cuban theater people with the National Culture Distinction to honor their professional performance and contribution to the development of theater on the island. The Distinction Espejo de Paciencia -the top award granted by Camagüey’s Provincial Cultural Division- was presented to Fidel Galván, renowned Cuban playwright and director of the puppet theater company Rabindranath Tagore from the central municipality of Remedios in Villa Clara province.
