The INTERNATIONAL VIDEO ART FESTIVAL takes place from November 25th to the 29th in the city of Camaguey. This event convenes the video art in all its variants: video performance, video installation and video dance and animation. The Venue is in the Historical Center of Camaguey City.
Then the Week of Cultural Celebrations festival takes over the city Camagüey the first week of each February, and is widely recognized as one of Cuba’s best cultural fetes. It commemorates the city’s foundation.
In November there is an opportunity to Celebrate the famous Cuban boleros singer, guitarist and composer Carlos Puebla during the festival held from November 29 - December 2 in Manzanillo in Granma province. From 1962 Pueba was a regular performer in La Bodeguita del medio, a bar-restaurant in Old Havana which was a favourite haunt of Cuban and foreign intellectuals.
Politically he stood beside Fidel Castro before the 1959 Revolution. He was called the singer of the revolution or El Cantor de la Revolución. In 1965, the night after Fidel Castro's speech announcing Che Guevara's departure from the government, Puebla, seized by passion, composed what would become his most celebrated work, Hasta Siempre, Comandante, a true declaration of love for and hope in Che.
