Nueva York, 10 sep (EFE).- El tenista español Rafael Nadal ganó hoy su tercer título de campeón en el Abierto de Estados Unidos tras batir en la final al surafricano Kevin Anderson por tres sets a cero.
Nadal, de 31 años, primer cabeza de serie y número uno del mundo, se impuso a su rival por 6-3, 6-3 y 6-4 en un partido que se alargó 2 horas y 28 minutos. De esta forma sumó su segundo Slam del año luego del décimo pergamino del Roland Garros de Francia, y el quinto de la temporada.
El tenista de Manacor, que fue campeón del US Open en 2010 y 2013, se coloca a tres títulos de empatar el récord de 19 trofeos de Gran Slam que tiene Roger Federer.
Nadal bate a Anderson y gana su tercer Abierto de EE.UU.
