Havana, September 20 (RHC) – The Cuban cyclist has finished once again in the top-3 of the Tour de L´Ardeche, France, after finishing 3rd in the 7th and last stage of the competition, raced this Thursday between Chomérac and Privas, on an 88km distance.
26-year old Sierra, captain of the famous Astana club, finished behind Dutch Marianne Vos and Czech Nikola Noskova, athletes who starred a get-away from the group 20 km from the finish line, and ended up with the 1st and 2nd places.
Sierra, who is considered the best Cuban cyclist nowadays, demonstrated her optimal shape, just a few days before the beginning of the World Championship in Yorkshire, England.
This past Wednesday, during the 6th stage of the Tour de L´Ardèche, the Lima 2019 Pan-Am Champion also finished 3rd.
The multi-champion of the World and in Olympic Games, Marianne Vos, dominated the Tour by winning 6 out of 7 stages, and winning the event with an over 6-minute difference over 2nd place, the German Clara Koppenburg.
