Lisbán Correa was selected as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the regular season of the 60th National Baseball Series

Havana, March 26 (RHC)-- Industriales slugger Lisbán Correa was selected as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the regular season of the 60th National Baseball Series.

The starter of the Industriales team dominated the votes of the press and specialists thanks to his formidable campaign at bat, in which he led in several offensive departments, including home runs and runs batted in.

Correa hit 28 balls out of the stadium to set a new championship record of 75 games, in addition to shattering the previous record for players born in Havana.  He also drove in 82 teammates to home plate and accumulated a .682 slugging rate to dominate both categories and become the most feared hitter of the entire 60th Series.

At the press conference held at the Ciudad Deportiva in Havana, the offensive and defensive All-Stars, as well as the best pitchers of the season, were also announced.

Frank Madan, of the Toros de Camagüey, was the best right-hander of the tournament between balls and strikes, largely due to his 13 wins and 109 strikeouts, which placed him as the leader in those categories.

Yudiel Rodríguez, from Las Tunas, received the award for the best left-hander of the tournament, while Yunior Tur, from Santiago, stood out among the relievers.
