Riccardo Fraccari
Havana, January 17 (RHC/PL)-- The president of the World Baseball Softball-Softball Confederation (WBSC), Riccardo Fraccari, continued this weekend his visit to Cuba.
On Sunday, he visited the province of Cienfuegos, where he met with sports authorities and with his friend, Antonio Muñoz, in the compound where the so-called Giant of Escambray gives life to a community project to prepare a group of children.
The day before, on Saturday, Fraccari visited the Batos Company to evaluate possible joint actions for the production of baseball and softball equipment, in which the TeamMate brand would also be involved.
On the same day, the Italian executive received extensive information on the development strategy of Cuban baseball during a meeting held at the Adolfo Luque Hall of the Latin American Stadium.
This Monday will be the last official day of his visit to Cuba, which has had as main objectives to participate in the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the creation of the national baseball series, and to evaluate in what way the support of the WBSC can be extended to our national sport.
Raúl Fornés Valenciano, first vice-president of Inder, and vice-presidents Omar Venegas and Ariel Sainz, among other executives, accompanied the visitor throughout his trip.
