Havana, February 8 (RHC)-- The sports director of Futbol Club Barcelona, Ferran Reverter, announced today his resignation from the post to devote more time to his personal and family projects, the azulgrana entity informed today through a press release.

Ferrán Reverter has informed FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta of his desire to step down for personal and family reasons. This resignation will be effective as soon as the Club incorporates a new general manager, the entity explained on its digital platforms.

"Almost a year ago I decided to leave Germany and return to Barcelona for family reasons and shortly after I accepted the challenge offered to me by president Joan Laporta to head the Club's executive area, Reverter explained in announcing his departure.

However, while the leader was negotiating new investors for the club's sponsorship, the club closed a deal with the Swedish music reproduction company Spotify for some 280 million euros.
