Havana, June 7 (RHC)-- The play-offs of the Superior Basketball League (LSB) begin today with two games in the women's division and the same number in the men's division, in a series of five games to be won by three.
Among the women, the leaders of Santiago will face the leaders of the Santiago province against the Avileñas, in addition to the reigning champions of the Capital against the Guantanameras, at the site of the third and fourth place finishers in the qualifying phase.
Therefore, the semifinal round will start at the Rafael Castiello Hall in Guaso and at the Giraldo Cordova Cardin Hall in Ciego de Avila.
After those first two matches, the actions will move to Santiago de Cuba and Havana, where there will be activities on the 11th, 12th and 14th, if necessary to reach the fourth or fifth match.
Moving on to the men, the Búfalos Avileños, owners of nine titles in the LSB and currently at the top, will play against the Santiago players at the Alejandro Urgellés multipurpose hall in the Hero City, while Sancti Spíritus will play against the Capitalinos at the Ramón Fonst hall in Havana.
All the games will start at 4:00 p.m. and it will only be different when the men's team of Ciego de Avila plays at home, in which case it is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., as confirmed to the press by the tournament's technical directors.
