FIFA changes the start date for the 2022 World Cup
Zurich, August 12 (RHC)-- FIFA officially announced Thursday the decision to bring forward the start of the 2022 World Cup by one day in order for the host country, Qatar, to play the opening match against Ecuador.
Due to the changes made, the first match will be played on November 20 at 7 p.m. local time (16:00 GMT). Likewise, the time of the match between Senegal and the Netherlands, to be played on November 21, was rescheduled from one o'clock in the afternoon (10:00 GMT) to seven o'clock in the evening (16:00 GMT).
