Maradona's Goal, the Hand of God

London, October 14 (PL)-- The ball with which Diego Armando Maradona scored the best goal in the history of the World Cup and the Hand of God, will be auctioned on November 16.

According to the Graham Budd auction house, the ball with which Argentina eliminated England in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico should sell for between 2.5 and three million pounds (3.3 million euros).

This ball is part of soccer history and this is the perfect moment to share it with the world, said its owner, referee Ali Bin Nasser, who officiated that match.

The object will be auctioned just four days before the start of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, and is expected to enter the list of the most expensive in history.

A few months ago, the jersey worn by Maradona in that match sold for more than nine million euros, and last month around 10 million euros were paid for the jersey worn by American basketball player Michael Jordan in the first of the six games of the 1998 finals.
