Havana, November 7 (JIT)-- The Cuban team that will participate in the First Baseball5 World Cup was received at the Benito Juarez International Airport in the Mexican capital by Marcos Rodriguez, Cuban ambassador to Mexico.
The diplomat urged them to compete and represent their homeland with dignity.
Eros Bernal, head coach of the Cuban delegation, thanked his compatriots and assured them that the team will fight until the last out to achieve its goal with great focus and discipline.
Juan Reinaldo Pérez, president of the Cuban Baseball Federation, bid farewell to the team at Havana's José Martí air terminal.
"The goal cannot be other than to reach the medal. Discipline, unity and keeping together as the family they are will give them good results," the executive assured.
Cuba, the country where this modality was born in November 2017, will debut in the lid on Tuesday against South Africa.
