Havana, November 28 (RHC)-- Cuba ensured the presence of all its boats for the Central American and Caribbean Games of San Salvador 2023, after closing this Sunday with 11 medals and the same number of tickets in the qualifying tournament in Mexico.

Staged at the Virgilio Uribe track in the Mexican capital, the men's and women's teams, made up of six men and four women, won five gold medals and six silver medals.

This booty guarantees the participation in the Salvadoran multisport competition in the 11 modalities that competed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Ángel Luis García, president and commissioner of the National Federation, informed via WhatsApp to the Cuban News Agency (ACN) that they all achieved with great discipline what they set out to do together with the technical team.

On the results of this Sunday, Garcia added that a gold metal was achieved in the four pair of short rowing (2x) open weight, with Jorge Patterson, Yoelvis Hernandez, Reidy Cardona and Carlos Ajete.

He added that three silver medals were also obtained in the open single (1x), with Milena Venegas, the light double pair (Glendys Perdomo) and the coxless double (Natalie Morales and Yariulvis Cobas).

If we consider the medal count, Yariulvis Cobas and Reidy Cardona, both with three gold and one silver in collective boats, were the most outstanding.
