Ghana triumphs against South Korea
Doha, November 28 (PL) - In an insane match, Ghana defeated South Korea 3-2 today in group H of the Qatar 2022 soccer World Cup, and came back to life in the championship.
The Africans took the lead and headed for victory with goals by Mohamed Salisu, in the 24th minute, and Mohammed Kudus, in the 34th minute, but Cho Gue-sung scored in the 58th and 60th minutes to level the match, to the euphoria of thousands of fans gathered at the Education City stadium.
But Kudus came up again in the 68th minute and scored the winning goal, pure gold of high carat for his country.
Ghana now has three points in District H and is level with Portugal at the top of the standings, although the Portuguese have a game in hand.
Cristiano Ronaldo's team will play later against Uruguay, who have a point after starting the tournament a few days ago with a draw against the South Koreans.
