Havana, November 28 (RHC) The Cuban baseball team finished with a silver medal in the Pan American Championship under-10 years old category held in Culiacan, Mexico.

The disciples of mentor Walter Chavez lost in the final 1-5 this Sunday against the Mexican team, against which they showed a balance of one win and one loss in the qualifying stage.

The tournament's website reflected that the Cubans hit more hits than their rivals (6x3), but were unproductive with their lumber in their hands. José Pablo Camargo took the Aztec victory and the loss went to Rydel Fabián Pérez.

The Cuban team had seven victories and two defeats against the Mexicans.

The event made it possible for three Cubans to be included in the All-Star Team of the tournament: third baseman Emzo Cabrera, center fielder Gabriel Eduardo Mustelier and right fielder Denzel de Jesús Mazorra.

In addition, Alfredo Despaigne (junior) was recognized for winning the runs scored department (11).
