Havana, December 27 (RHC)-- The semifinals of the Dominican Baseball League (Lidom) resume today after the Christmas break, with the matches Estrellas Orientales-Águilas Cibaeñas and Gigantes del Cibao-Tigres del Licey.

The Estrellas are the leaders of the stage with three games won and one lost, followed by the Águilas and Tigres (2-2), one game behind, and at the bottom of the group are the Gigantes (1-3), two games behind.

From now on, the round robin will continue without pause until the next day 30 when it will stop again for the players to enjoy the year-end holidays, returning to the field on January 2, 2023.

So far the collective batting is led by the Easterners, with an average of 294; the pitching has the felines in the lead, with a 1.27 average of clean runs allowed, and on defense the Águilas are the best, with only two errors.

The offensive leader is the American Joe Hudson, who is batting for 500 average, and the best pitcher is the Cuban Roenis Elías, also of the Aguilucho, who has yet to allow any clean runs.
