Havana, January 6 (RHC)-- When the Dominican Baseball League (Lidom) semifinals resume today after the first day of rest in 2023, there will be seven dates left to know the finalists of the season.
Starting this Friday, every game will be important in the aspirations of the teams participating in this phase because the difference is minimal and they cannot afford to lose.
At the moment, the Tigres de Licey are tied at the top with the Gigantes del Cibao with six wins and five losses, followed by the Estrellas Orientales and the Águilas Cibaeñas with a 5-6 record, and it is to be expected that the table will remain like this until the end of the season.
The collective batting is led by the Estrellas with an average of 268; pitching by the Tigres with a 1.33 ERA and defense by the Águilas with nine errors in the period.
Today's games will be between the aguiluchos and the Gigantes at the Julián Javier stadium in San Francisco de Macorís, Duarte province, and the felines and the Orioles at the Tetelo Vargas stadium in San Pedro de Macorís.
