Paris Grand Slam

Havana, January 31 (PL)--  A total of 71 judoists will defend the colors of Latin America and the Caribbean in the Grand Slam of Paris, led by Brazil (26), Cuba (10) and Argentina (eight).

Judokas from Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Chile, Peru, Venezuela, Colombia and Uruguay are also registered for the tournament, to be held on February 4 and 5.

According to the event's official website, a total of 550 judokas from 85 countries registered.

The Latin American and Caribbean region did not win medals in the last edition of the Grand Slam in Paris, but this time it could do so, especially with figures from Brazil and Cuba.

At the world championship in Tashkent-2022, Brazil's Rafaela Silva (57 kilograms) and Mayra Aguiar (78) and Cuba's Andy Granda (over 100) were crowned.
