Renner Rivero enters Cuban baseball history
Havana, May 9 (ACN)-- Right-hander Renner Rivero entered the history of Cuban baseball by giving a zero-hit, zero-run game in the victory of his team, runner-up Matanzas 6-0 against Pinar del Río, in the LXII National Baseball Series, which is in its eighth particular sub-series.
On the mound of the Victoria de Girón stadium, the right-hander from Unión de Reyes was phlegmatic and, supported by his breaks that he combined with the fastball, he tied up the Vegueros' offense, to which he gave 10 strikeouts and barely gave them a ticket.

Guantánamo also gave another of the day's highlights with its 9-4 victory over Holguín, which broke a string of six consecutive victories. The bat of starter Robert Luis Delgado, who was fourth in the lineup, hit 5-2, with two runs.
