Havana, May 22 (ACN) - Guided by veteran Alberto Bisset, the Santiago de Cuba team beat Guantanamo 7-1, became the first to reach 30 victories and kept the top of the National Baseball Series, which closed the tenth particular sub-series.

In other results, Ciego de Avila defeated the national runner-up Matanzas 4-0, Granma defeated Las Tunas (3-2) and Sancti Spíritus defeated Cienfuegos 2-1. Based on pitching, Industriales beat Holguin (2-1, 6-0) and Villa Clara did the same with Camagüey (4-3, 2-0).

At the end of the tenth subseries of 15 scheduled in the baseball calendar, Santiago de Cuba (30-19) leads, followed by Mayabeque (29-20), Artemisa (28-20), Matanzas (27-22), Holguín (26-23), Sancti Spíritus (25-23) and Ciego de Ávila (24-23).
