Havana, August 24 (RHC) -- The president of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), Osvaldo Vento Montiller received Thursday in Havana, the Bayamo team that represented Cuba in the Little League Baseball World Series, in the United States.
In the welcome, at the José Martí International Airport, the official expressed that the performance of the children in that event makes them feel proud because he considered it very outstanding and brilliant.
"You leave in the Cuban people a very pleasant feeling, regardless of not having won medals, and you will be congratulated wherever you go from today onwards," he said.
Vento Montiller emphasized that "you have shown that our baseball is alive and in the future we will be able to achieve many more medals in the international arena, with effort and discipline".
The young Cuban team members left a good image during the competition, where they received a standing ovation and applause from the public at every outing.
