Havana, October 23 (Web Network)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated cyclist Arlenis Sierra on Monday for her silver medal in the time trial at the 'Santiago 2023' Pan American Games.

In his account on the social network X, the dignitary wrote: "Congratulations, champion, and lots of encouragement for Sunday on the road. From Cuba, a hug", and he added a message from the president of Inder, the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation, Osvaldo Vento Montiller.

The official also praised the performance of the girl, a native of Manzanillo, in the eastern Cuban province of Granma.
