Havana, November 11 (JIT) -- A delegation of 53 athletes will represent Cuba in the VII Parapan American Games, after the final registration made this Friday.
With eight more than in Lima 2019, the island will see action in athletics, judo, taekwondo, table tennis, powerlifting, shooting, badminton, swimming, archery and cycling.
The competition, which will be officially inaugurated on November 17, will seek to equal the 13 titles won in Lima 2019.
According to the official calendar, Cuba's actions will start one day earlier, on November 16, with activities in table tennis.
In athletics, the most prolific harvest is expected in terms of titles, with six, and in medals in general with 13.
Friday also served to register the Caribbean team at the Parapan American Village, where they will stay for the duration of the competition.
Managers and support personnel, headed by Raul Fornes Valenciano, first vice-president of Inder, carried out the necessary steps to guarantee all the conditions before the transfer to the venue. The building where the 92 members of the delegation will live was received. In addition, logistical matters were assured to guarantee an optimal stay.
The Cuban parathletes have been training for several days in this city in order to adapt to the conditions of the venue.
