Universidad del Deporte Cubano celebrates Altius, Citius, Fortius 2023 award in Mexico

Havana, December 8 (RHC) -- Cuba's Manuel Fajardo University of Physical Education and Sports Sciences celebrated Friday the Altius, Citius, Fortius 2023 award, granted by Mexico's Professional College of Sports Training Graduates.

The center of high studies published in its social networks: "This noble gesture touches the soul of all sports professionals, teachers, workers and students of our Center for Higher Education. Thank you very much. Immense pride to have the support, recognition and respect of such a prestigious institution".

Its rector, Dr. C. Silvano Merced, together with other institutions and personalities from several countries, also received the honorable distinction, in a solemn ceremony held in the Mexican capital.

In the note disseminated by the communication direction of the host entity, the contribution of the Cuban university to the integral development of the sciences of physical culture, both individually and collectively, is recognized.

"It is also due to those whose noble work inspires to be better human beings and stand out in the construction of a solid state of well-being for all through sports," the communiqué adds.

This recognition, granted the day before at an event held at the University of London-Vertiz Campus, has been received by multiple Mexican Olympic medalists and coaches, as well as former athletes, sports journalists, academics, among others.   (Source: Prensa Latina)
