Havana, April 28 (RHC) -- On Saturday of the 63rd National Baseball Series, the championship leaders, Vegueros de Pinar del Río, could not beat the Gallos de Sancti Spíritus and ended up losing (15-6).
Yohanny Hernández took his third success, the veteran Bladimir Baños, his second setback, and Yankiel Mauri his sixth save. Alexei Ramírez, Yaser Julio González and Yoannis Moreno homered, while Lázaro Fernández hit 3-for-5 with four RBIs.
For their part, the current champions, Leñadores de las Tunas, beat the Azucareros de Villa Clara (3-1). The victory went to Rubén Rodríguez, the defeat to Dairon Casanova and the rescue to Keniel Ferraz. Roberto Súliban Baldoquín hit a full return hit.

In a pitching duel, the Mayabeque Hurricanes beat the Holguín Cubs (2-1). Albert Valladares achieved his fifth success, Adrián Sosa his third rescue and José Rivas was defeated.
The Matanzas Crocodiles superknocked out the Island Pirates (17-0). Pedro Mesa left smiling, the setback went to the historic Yanly Palacios, and Luis Sánchez hit a home run.
Finally, the Toros de Camagüey were better than the Elefantes de Cienfuegos (4-0), with success for José Ramón Rodríguez and disaster for Raicol Suárez. Emilio Torres, the shortstop for the Camagüeyans, hit 2-for-3 with a trio of RBIs. Today these subseries conclude.
