Havana, May 31 (RHC) - Cuba's Erislandy Álvarez (63.5 kg) qualified this Friday for the Paris Olympic Games, by defeating the difficult Kazakh Bazarbay Mukham medsaby, in a fight voted by the judges 3-2.

For his part, the other Cuban who entered the ring this Friday, Jorge Cuellar (71), could not get his place in Paris on the day, falling by unanimous vote 5-0 against the Polish Damián Durkacz.
Cuéllar still has another option for Olympic qualification, and on Saturday he will face the Irishman Walsh, and if he wins he would have to go for another victory.
Now Cuban boxing has five tickets to Paris: Julio La Cruz (92), Arlen López (80), Saidel Horta (57), Alejandro Claro Fis (51) and Erislandy Alvarez (63.5).
