Havana, June 11 (RHC)-- This Monday was a rest day in the 63rd National Baseball Series, although the Hurricanes of Mayabeque and the Azucareros of Villa Clara played their pending match.  The Mayabequenses achieved an important 8-5 victory. The game was won by Jaime Gámez, César Morales lost and Duvier Peña scored the rescue.  Jeison Martínez and Frank Alfonso stood out at bat with two and three RBIs respectively, while for the losers, Leonardo Montero compiled four-four.

Today new subseries begin, highlighting the duel between the championship leaders, Vegueros de Pinar del Río, and the third in the table, Alazanes de Granma, who are only one game ahead of the westernmost teams. The duel will take place at the Capitán San Luis stadium, headquarters of the Vegueros.

Another match that arouses the interest of fans is the one that will take place in the Latin American stadium in the capital, with the classic of Cuban baseball classics, Leones de Industriales against the Avispas from Santiago.
