For the first time, this type of production will have as its background a five-part documentary series – also conceived by the Naudets – that will be broadcast on the local network France Television before the start of the event.

Renowned filmmakers have been in charge of recording the main events that accompanied each call, taking their productions beyond the traditional documentary.

In this way they have established a peculiar perspective and at the same time expanded the cultural heritage of the event, forming a valuable collection of more than 50 feature films that offer a fascinating vision of the transcendental moments of its modern era.

For German Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), "the official film brings a unique editorial angle to the games experience, striving to capture the soul of a specific edition while taking into account the broader social and cultural context." ».

Regarding the choice of the Naudets, he highlighted their ability to capture historical events "through a deeply human and authentic lens."

In that sense, Tony Estanguet, head of the Paris 2024 organizing body, stated that "the official film and the documentary series will be like the people who will produce them: innovative, inspiring and faithful to the ambitions of Paris 2024."

«With their unique humanistic approach, the Naudet brothers will offer a holistic vision that complements our vision of “Completely Open Games”, allowing the public to see what happens within the organization of the world's largest sporting event,” he said.
