Havana, Jun 28 (RHC) - Poland and Japan advance to the semifinals of the Nations League-2024 (VNL), played in the Polish city of Lodz.

Poland, the defending champions, came from the bottom to beat Brazil 3-1, in a match in which Cuban nationalized Polish Wilfredo Leon was the top scorer with 18 points, 14 in attack, two in blocking and two in service. Darlan led the Brazilians with 21 points.

Japan, meanwhile, also qualified to the semifinals with a three-set victory over Canada, although two of them were very close.

Yuki Ishikawa (20 points) and Tatsunori Otsuka (10) stood out in the victory.

The duels between the world champion Italy and the Olympic champion France, and Slovenia against Argentina are scheduled for this Friday.
