Olympic Games closing ceremony rehearsals

Havana, Jul 6 (RHC) - The closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is expected to take place with a show that will gather more than a hundred artists, full of acrobatics and a lot of music.

The event will take place on August 11 at the Stade de France and, according to the most recent rumors, it will be called Récords, as a tribute to what will happen in the world's largest sports event.

Its director, Thomas Jolly, told Inside The Games that the goal will be to offer a meaningful message and provide a thought-provoking experience about the origins and future of the Games.

For the past week, rehearsals have been taking place in a location away from the city and protected from prying eyes with huge tarpaulins, while the music is listened to by the dancers with personal headphones.

Of course, the traditional elements of this type of celebrations will not be missing, such as the parade of athletes with their flags and the transfer of the venue to Los Angeles 2028, which will take over from these events.

The official inauguration is scheduled for July 26 in an unusual outdoor setting: the Seine River.
