Havana, Jul 13 (ACN) Alazanes de Granma relied on the power of Guillermo Aviles' wrists to beat the Leñadores Tuneros 7-3 at the Mártires de Barbados stadium and tie the semifinal duel of the 63rd National Baseball Series.

Three hits by the left-handed starter to tow five runs was all the Eastern horses needed to win in front of their public.

One in the second act against starter Leandro Cañada, another in the fourth with Anier Pérez on the mound and the last one in the sixth with two bases occupied against the defeated Rubén Rodríguez, buried the reigning national champions.

Veteran Leandro Martinez obtained his 100th victory in our domestic championships, after a six-inning work where he accepted three hits, one of them dirty.

His substitute Lismay Ferrales hung the last three rings on the board with an equal number of strikeouts to earn the save.

For the losers, Jean Lucas Baldoquín and Yudier Rondón, both 4-2, towed runs.

Today will be a transfer day and on Sunday both teams will play their third game of this duel, now at the "enchanted forest" of the Julio Antonio Mella de las Tunas.
