Journalists in Paris

Paris, Jul 24 (PL) - The 33rd Olympic Games of Paris 2024 will be covered from today by more than 20 thousand media professionals, according to figures issued by the main press center of the summer event.

The event under the five rings will be enjoyed from afar by billions of people thanks to 350,000 hours of broadcasting from the competition venues and the opening and closing ceremonies.

The opening show will be the first major novelty compared to previous editions, as it will take place for the first time outside an Olympic stadium, to move on the waters of the Seine River, thanks to a hundred boats that will host the representatives of the 206 National Olympic Committees present for the event.

The calendar includes 19 days of competitions - which began on Wednesday with the first elimination matches of soccer and rugby sevens - during which 329 events in 32 sports disciplines will be disputed.

The indispensable work of more than 45 thousand volunteers, dedicated to assisting delegations, accredited press and guests in general at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, also stands out.
