Yarisleidis Cirilo, bronze medalist

Paris, Aug 10 (PL) Cuban Yarisleidis Cirilo won the bronze medal today in the 200-meter individual canoe in canoeing at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Cirilo, world champion in 2023, arrived third at the finish line with a time of 44.36 seconds.

In photofinish, Canadian Katie Vincent (44.12), multiple world champion, won the gold medal, while American Nevin Harrison (44.13), Olympic gold medalist in Tokyo 2020, had to settle for silver.

Vincent's 44.12 represents the fastest time in history for this discipline in summer events.
