Liván Moinelo

Tokyo, Aug 13 (PL) Cuban pitcher Liván Moinelo filed his ninth win in the Japan Professional Baseball League today by walking the entire route in his Softbank Falcons' 6-1 victory over the Seibu Lions.

The left-hander from the province of Pinar del Río allowed just two hits and a earned run to improve his effectiveness to 1.50 per complete game and remain the leader in that department in the Pacific League.

Six opponents were eliminated by strikeout so that the Antillean reached 127 in the campaign -second in the circuit- and continued demonstrating his absolute dominance in the Land of the Rising Sun.

In the game, held at the Belluna Dome stadium in Tokorozawa, he only conceded one ticket and lowered his average to four per nine innings worked.

Raidel Martinez

His compatriot Raidel Martínez, although he did not have a good outing, managed to preserve the victory of his Chunichi Dragons over the Yakukt Swallows (5-4) and reached 31 saves, second in that category in the Central League.

The right-hander pitched one inning and allowed one run, after striking out one batter and allowing a couple of hits.

After that performance on the Meiji Jingo pitch of Tokyo, his ERA is 1.48, with only six runs allowed in 44 episodes and one third of work.
