Havana, Aug 20 (JIT) The Cuban national team lost its undefeated record on Monday, falling 2x10 to the favorite team from China Taipei in the Little League Baseball World Series, held at the Volunteers Stadium, in the U.S. city of Williamsport.

In the first inning, the Santa Clara Bombers had taken a 2-0 lead.

But the Taiwanese made good on their 17 titles in these competitions, scored a run in the fourth and then a decisive run of four in the fifth inning, by Chiu Wei-Che's home run with the bases loaded against reliever Alejandro Vázquez.

The Asian team finished off the Santa Clara team with a five-run rally in the sixth act. In relief, Lai Cheng-Xi got five outs -four by strikeout- and got the win.

After this result, the Santa Clara Bombers will face this Tuesday the Mexican team, which also shows a failure. Therefore, the defeated team will be out of the tournament.

In their debut, the Cuban team defeated Brno, from the Czech Republic, 4x1.
